The moon lit the London sky. Draco looked around at the many Muggle children walking around, dressed like ghosts and wizards. His own robes looked at home in the sea of Muggles. He'd even gotten a lot of compliments about his costume.
Ron laced their fingers together and squeezed Draco's hand gently. "You okay?"
Draco bit his lip. "I'm not sure." His trial had been a year ago. Potter had ensured he'd be free. Nine months ago, he started spending with Potter and his friends. Six months ago, he began dating Ron. Draco never went out, only visiting Ron at Grimmauld Place, but he'd promised Ron they could go out together and Ron had picked Halloween of all days.
"No one will bother you," Ron reassured him.
"I can tell." He looked at Ron. "I grew up thinking that they should all die, but they are like us, aren't they?"
Ron nodded. "Almost. They think magic isn't real."
Draco smiled. "I didn't say they are perfect."
Ron kissed Draco gently. "Of course not, not everyone can be as perfect as you, Muggle or wizard."
Draco knew he wasn't perfect, but looking in Ron's eyes told him they were perfect together.
