1st of december(tandem skydive)
How i wish there is a reason to justify the jump that i took, 14000 feet jump, i must have a good reason for it.
It is just one fucking normal day except that i was made to wake up at 530 in the morning and took us just a couple of drive to Nagambie.
Borrowed david's funky green Ford territory (which saved our life later when i plot further into the tale) which has given us a really comfortable drive,
It is definetely better than my little peugeot which apparently isn't comfortable for those in the backseats ( not that i have ever been in the back).
The drive was greeted with lush golden fields and big rolls of hay along the way( oh yeah, mcdonald brekkie too, not impressed).
We or I have made at least 2 wrong turn offs and drive on the wrong side of the road once. Fuck country driving.!! Soon enough we reached this entrance that lead us to Goulburn lake and a nice little bridge which is a heritage property. The Goulburn lake view is just surreal with scattered tree trunks sticking out of the water, it doesn't look swampy at all, because most of the tree trunks were those of a silver birch or a silvery colour eucalyptus tree just like a perfect art installation. I was impressed with the view but i can so imagine mist hanging across this lake and then out of nowhere we have this headless horseman riding and chopping off people's head. (wild imagination). So that is just Gouldburn lake and the beautiful morning.
Why i am doing the jump? Coz i fail miserably for my exams!!! nah, not really, Elsie is here, and it is great fun plus... two hours drive, not sure if i want to do it alone besides, i don't think there are many friends here who want to dive. As he said "chicken".
We ran through the whole lecturing process... the jump suit, the posture, the whatever.... yadda yadda. I was all ready and i have ordered the DVD(goddamnit).
The guy was really good... and fun, engaging, not sexy, maybe the camera man is.
We took this yellow and blue plane which reminds me of Tim's yellow submarine, That is just such a sweet plane.
Climbed into the plane.... and the instructor told me to seat between his legs....snuggle in, snuggle snuggle in. snuggle somemore. hehehe
snuggle a little more.... yeap, that feels right. Oh... where was i?
yes, the jump, soon enough, i was distracted and the camera man kept wanting to talk to me and use the bloody video recording. I am distracted man and i am just about to jump off, giving me a goddamn fucking break. I saw Elsie inching to the door and i feel my heart skip one beat, i take a deep breath through my nose, calmness... i shall be cool. Elsie flew off.... bye Elsie..... BYe....!!!1
The instructor tap my shoulder and say, our turn... we inched there... and my legs... well, not jelly, i super macho ok... we did frog jump till we reach the door. The cameraman is half hanging outside the plane.... he is amazing.
we are at the door, my legs hanging in the air, 14000 feet.... "fuck, what am i doing here?"i asked myself.
i got into the posture (according to elsie is like the rolls royce angel and i am so upset that i actually did it), and he pushed us out.
can't breath can't breath... 1 second 2 second, look at camera man... damn, it is so fast, my heart... it is clenching itself.... the view... it is beautiful.. *tap tap*
i was told to bring my hands out.... we moved slower already. damn the first two seconds, i thought i was going to die. free fall, free fall..... it is just such an amazing feeling. The thought of the jump still give me the tingle.... tingle....in my toes wow!!!
free fall free fall.... look at view....then... parachute released.... glide glide... fuck my ball hurt from the upward surge.
well, frankly, i told think the view is not comparable to the exhilirating jump off that makes my heart stop jumping for a few seconds but, still, it is just breathtaking and wonderful floating down....
that is all folks... maybe i will do another entry. I am so not going into the video after my diva rolls royce pose.
I have a 50percent off if i can find three other jumpers, we cna share the offer within the next three months if anyone wants it.
