Callipe had run out of things to do. She had scrubbed, polished, dusted, and swept every last thing in her small apartment, and the digital clock on her windowsill only read 3:03 am. She sighed, taking down her ring of keys from where they hung on the wall, and walked out the door into the night. The soft ocean mist touched her bare arms as she

"Ah, smeg," she muttered, looking around, squinting. She found the nearest thing she could climb, that was high enough to give her an edge when it came to getting into the air. She narrowed her eyes, pulling herself up the fire escape. She made her way to the roof steadily, sitting and taking a few moments to catch her breath.
The green-haired teenager pulled all of her hoods on, tightening them, and launched herself from the roof at a run, wings flapping. She continued, initially losing some altitude, then gaining rapidly. She laughed, mentally.
The air was her domain-- she'd forgotten how wonderfully soothing flight was for her nerves. There was no teasing for having wings up here-- just her, her wings, the air around her, and nothing else.

"Hey!" Callipe called to Okchakko. "Nice night isn't it?" Uh huh. Lame. Ah well.... She sighed inwardly. Its not like she talked that much to normal people. The thought made her smile, considering a girl with green hair and wings normal. But hey, one of Callipe's uncle's had wings on his feet, and another rode around in a chariot driven by flaming horses that galloped across the sky. She took normal where she could find it.

She was startled, to say the least. The Oklahoshi blinked, then laughed. "If you like cold nights," she commented. "But that's just my perspective, after all. Tropical weather feels like spring to me." Okcha grinned. "You don't see many people up here, do you?" she wondered.
"Well, that might be different here. Back where I used to live, not a whole lot of people actually were around up in the air." She laughed.

He skidded to a stop, dislodging a couple pieces of old brick. When he looked up again, it was gone. Impulse shrugged and moved on. Before long, he saw two girls conversing in mid-air. Maybe they could help.
"You guys! Down here! HEY!"

Okchakko's keen ears picked up on Impulse's yell. She turned, swooping low. She then realized she was positioned... rather awkwardly to land, and that could spell disaster for her if she tried it. She swooped by the roof, fighting for altitude so she could land properly. "I'm going around so I can land!" she called, swooping around and heading for the roof, landing without any real grace. She folded her wings against her body, then pulled a few hoods down. "What is it?" she asked.
Why in the name of the Achaffa was he calling them down? She set her hands on her hips, glancing at him. And... less on-topic than my last internal question... what in the name of the Frozen Realm is he WEARING?

It watched the two air borne young women before padding onward toward Titans Tower...

At Impulse's call to them she smiled wryly. "Speak of the devil, heres one now." She wrapped her arms around herself and drifted down to the rooftop beside Okchakko, her purple eyes intent on the Spandex clad juvenile. "I second her question. What do you want?" The question held no menace, only a faint touch of curiousity. The Titans had never troubled with her before. What now?
She paid no heed to the glowing golden tiger. It simply didn't bother her.

Impulse smiled, thrilled to have their attention.
"Well, I've been looking for this guy, Slade. All over town. No luck. Would either of you happen to know where he's hiding? Or of anything suspicious at all? You know, like large quantities of nucular waste, laser cannons, or giant cogs?"

The green-haired young woman shivered at a breeze. "Great gods, it's COLD!!" she said. "Mom would kill me for being out when it's this cold. I wouldn't have to worry about the Oklaopa or the Oklanitah or any of them killing me, my own mother would decapitate me for being out when it's this cold," Okchakko muttered, scowling slightly.
