well, i guess it was only two of you, but still. you demanded, and so you shall receive.
uh, let's see. i am currently enrolled in the following classes:
Intro to Artificial Intelligence
Social History of America
Psychology of Education
i stayed up all night making my AI player for a modified version of Connect4 known as "Yo Mama" to be pretty badass. i was going to make the name some clever play on deep blue or something, but then i decided that might not be as amusing as i think it would be, so i simply called it "smartplayer". there's going to be a competition between all AIs made by the class, and i'm hoping mine will win. not sure how likely that is. i was able to outsmart it a few times, but i am an actual human, after all.
thursday night i saw mr john vanderslice at a small art gallery in salem. he played a bunch of his poetry songs and a bunch of stuff off the new record. he attempted to take requests but he couldn't play most of the songs we requested because he either didn't remember them or they were hard to play acoustic. he did manage to pull of time travel acoustic though (not that difficult of a task, actually). he ended on a neat version of exodus damage with the audience providing stomp/handclap percussion. this particular song has been stuck in my head ever since. afterwards, we all ate a bunch of home-baked (and imitation home-baked) goods and discussed the merits and drawbacks of DCFC signing to a major label. all in all, a good time was had, aside from the huge traffic backups on the way there and on the way back (entirely different routes).
it seems likely that today i will be heading up to portsmouth to see the 'slice again. and then tomorrow it's off to cambridge to see of montreal. and then, i sleep. oh, and i'll probably sleep a little right now, too.
