Silver Platter
I actually like this one. Yep. Enjoy!
The words won’t seem to come to me
To describe the way I feel.
My vocabulary isn’t big enough
To tell you what is real.
These lines may not make sense to you.
They hardly make sense to me.
But I had to think of something
To show you how it should be.
I will tell you in complete simplicity
That I am in love with you.
But that doesn’t seem quite enough
And I don’t know what to do.
My mind is filled with thoughts
But my hand won’t seem to write.
I don’t know how to express this
And I’m running out of light.
So I have to say this quickly
Before the words all disappear.
What I’m really trying to say is…
I wish that you were here.
I wish that you would love me.
I need you just to live.
I’d give you the world on a silver platter
If the world was mine to give.
