Grateful
I am grateful for going thru highschool like a normal person. I am grateful for making out in movie theaters on weekends, downstairs in the family room while my parents walked around upstairs, & those little pecks in the hallway between classes. I am grateful for having a bunch of dorky & geeky friends to eat lunch, play D&D on weekends, & goof off with. I am grateful for not doing anything bad in HS. (It was more than enough for what it was, it didn't need the complications of sex, drugs, or just doing "the wrong thing".) I am grateful for great teachers. (Although, I wish I'd accomplished what I could have instead of the little I did.) I am grateful to the bitch who made fun of Moony & I at our first dance. (Those harsh words just helped me to want him closer.) I am grateful for my parents, who chauffeured not only me, but also my friends around everywhere even when I was not involved. I am grateful for having known good, decent, innocent love. Sometimes, I wish I could go back & live in my HS world.
