The Role of Music in Healing with Hallucinogens: Tribal and Western Studies
  Marlene Dobkin de Rios, Ph.D

(my summary)

a brief discussion of the use of music in two kinds of entheogenic healing sessions - shamanistic ayahuasca use in Peru, and psychotherapeutic LSD use in America.

Conclusion: " If these hallucinogenic substances are to be used psychotherapeutically in the future, the role of music as a primary conditioning agent of the experience will have to be taken into account."

lsd, music, ayahuasca
