Despite filling the hole in my sense of worth and achievement with a new computer a few months back, I haven't actually played that many games on it yet. I've bitten the bullet and decided to get myself a new PC. Treat myself to a bit of consumerism to give some meaning to my empty shell of a life. My current computer is about six years old, but in that time I think every part bar the case and PSU have been replaced, so it's hardly the same machine it started off as. Apart from my backup hard-drive dying, my computer's been fairly well behaved for a while now. This is an unusual state of affairs, and it couldn't last. I formatted and reinstalled windows a month or two ago, and since then my DVD drive has not been working properly.

I love my computer for not just going wrong but finding entirely new ways to go wrong. Or variations on a theme at least. Ok, perhaps 'love' isn't quite the right word.
