Yeah, so I have had a good vacation so far, but we didn't get to go to NH like we planned. :o(
Uncle Stevie would have loved to have us up there, so that wasn't the problem... it was the freaking weather. He said that the foliage could not bee seen well in the rain and clouds. And there is not much to do up there if you can't go outside. So we would have been basically going to see him, Tonka, and do some shopping. Which would have been ok... but we can drive 30 minutes to Wrentham if we want to shop for cheap. So we decided that it was not worth going up there. :o( We are going to wait and go one weekend when either the weather is good, or winter comes and we can go on the snowmobiles.
Other than that little setback, my vacation has been pretty good. The first 3 days of it, Bill and I just stayed home in our pj's all day and did nothing. Michelle and Tim and Tom came over on Saturday night and they bought me a Tinkerbell pocketbook with a Tinkerbell change purse, and a stuffed dog for my birthday. They also brought over a cake. That was cool.
My mom and dad wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday, and my mom was really busy ON my birthday, so we went out on Sunday instead. We went to Spain's in Cranston. Let me tell you... I could tell you how good this food was, but it wouldn't do it justice. Expensive, but spectacular. I recommend that if you have the money to spend, go there. It was exceptional to say the least.
Then on my birthday (Tuesday) we went to the Cheesecake Factory because I got a gift card from my bosses. It was rather good. I had this burrito thing, it was good. Bill had a Calfornia Cheesesteak. I had never heard of a CALIFORNIA Cheesesteak, but he said that it was really good. I was so full that I didn't want the cheesecake, but since I was at the cheesecake factory... and I have heard awesome things about the cheesecake... I had to take some home.
That night Bill and I went to... Lincoln Park... I know, I know. I should have went to Foxwoods now that I can get in. But we still had fun. I drank a bit. I wanted to figure out what I like... so I tried a bunch of different things... I had a white russian (good), a tequila sunrise (really good), kamakazi (sp? - really STRONG), and bailey's and milk (one of my fav's). I didn't win any money though... :o(
Then Wednesday we cleaned the apartment all day... now it looks super clean! Then we went to the laundrymat to do our massive amounts of laundry... and we had to do our comforter... so we figured we would do everything... wrong idea. It was so expensive. But it all got done.
Then yesterday we went to Wrentham during the day... almost finished our X-mas shopping. Then went out to Mardi Gras with Bill's mom and sister last night, we thought there was karaoke, but then found that they stopped doing karaoke on Thursday nights. We stayed a bit, I had 2 tequila sunrise's and an amaretto sour. Then we left there... and met Toole at Dave's bar & grill and had a drink with her (another amaretto sour) then we came home. It was a fun night... even though we were home by 1 AM.
Bill's family is hilarious. I had a good time just talking to his mom and sister about stuff. I love being able to talk to them about stuff. They are super awesome.
OK well today we are going to go try to hunt down Christmas wrapping paper so we can get some wrapping done. Toodleoo all!
