Tra La La.

I am having a great day and it's barely even started!!

1. Before I even left for my first class while I was eating breakfast,  Mrs. Fong started commenting on my beaded eyeball picture on Facebook.  Now she wants to purchase one of my works.  I can't believe it!  Hopefully I'll even be able to get a few customers or something.  Getting paid to do something I love.  WOW.  Even if she decides she doesn't want something after all, I'm perfectly fine with that.  It's just ridiculously flattering.  I'm working on getting a website up for my pictures, and hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.

2. I went to the parking department to inquire about disabled parking in lot E3.  I've been having a lot of problems with parking in that area because the meters and handicap spots there are ALWAYS filled.  I went to the parking department to ask about it on Tuesday, and they sent me to Dres to get forms.  So I went there.  Then yesterday I went back to see if they got the letter that had been faxed.  They did, but the person I needed to speak to had already left for the day.  So I came back today, but I was worried that they wouldn't give me a permanent space there because it is a metered a lot so technically I shouldn't need one.  The person went talking and came back and told me that as soon as they find out the number of the space, they'll give me a call, which should be either today or tomorrow.  OMG.  I didn't have to fight or anything!  Such a bureaucracy, but it's worth it for not having to stress out over it.  I have to park in that area 6 times over the course of the week, and I'm going to be so relieved to have a little permit for that now.  Also, if somebody is parked in my spaced, then I can call the parking department and decide whether to ticket the car or tow it.  HOW COOL IS THAT.

3. I got a job by accident.  Haha.  I'll be working 3 days a week at 1.5 hours each time in the office of my dorm doing package duty and mail sorting for $8.50 an hour that will be going towards rent credit.  I'll be starting next week, and I think it'll be fun.

4. I'm going to be playing in the pit for the Illini Union Board Musical for the spring, which is going to be Guys and Dolls.  Again.  I loved the show though, so it's okay.  Aaron Kaplan asked me to play for it, and I of course said yes.  It conflicts with synchro a little bit, but that's okay.  I was originally supposed to be playing from the Reed 4 book, which is for clarinet/tenor sax.  However, I found out today that the person who was going to do Reed 2 can't do it, so now I will.  That is completely awesome because Reed 2 is for clarinet/alto sax/flute.  This is awesome because I'm much more comfortable with alto sax than tenor, and Reed 2 is just way more interesting than Reed 4.  The best part is that I'm going to get paid for doing pit.  Getting paid to do music and something I would do for free anyway?!?!  I'll take it!

AWESOME DAY.  Can it get better?  I can't imagine how.  I only have one more class from 2:00-2:50 today.  I feel absolutely fantastic.
