Well, I finally saw The Dark Knight.. I discovered several things: I absolutely adore that movie, I love Bruce+Alfred interactions to death, never to watch this before watching that movie, and good gen is hard to find.
It's very rare that I don't spend a good chunk of a movie mentally slashing the characters (though I made a point of telling my brother how often the Joker and Batman were slashed together), but I really, really wanted some gen from this movie. Gordon and Batman? Bruce and Alfred? <3
Though I cringe a little at Rachel's death. She ended up becoming a symbol, and most of who she was and what she wanted in life died with her. Ow. Alfred burning the note? Definitely ow.
...though I loved Alfred being that protective. *^__^*
I need to find some good TDK gen. It's incredibly hard to find. I love romance and slash as much as the next person (and this might end up being hypocritical), but it's a little disturbing when it seems like people can only write close, intimate encounters when sex is involved.
