You could have given her proof he was a douche, video recorded it even, and odds are she wouldn't have listened. She didn't want to believe it was happening, so it wasn't. Sadly it coming back to smack her on the ass may not even teach her a lesson.

People do stupid things when they don't want to be alone or when they are with someone. I know women who let their men walk all over them, and make endless excuses for them, I've screamed at one girl I knew until I was blue in the face, a person will do nothing, will SEE nothing until they want to.

I want to say I feel bad for your friend, but I know that wont do much good. I can only say that at least it was her wallet, and he didn't hurt her. Because it could have gone that way, really it could.

I also agree completely with Savvy. Our culture has a real bad problem with accountability. No one wants to admit they were wrong, so no one does, and things progress in to madness.
