Movie Reviews

King Kong was a big bunch of meh. It absolutely did not need to be three hours long. They established that it was the Great Depression for about 20 mins, like how many random homeless people do I really need to see. I mean it was 1 hour and 30 minutes into the movie before I even saw King Kong. Half the fucking movie is already over and I haven't even seen the stupid gorilla. Even Adrien Brody couldn't save it, not even by making out with Naomi Watts. Oh and I had a row of 12 year old gibbering idiots, who helpfully stated the obvious by screeching "Oh my God, they're SMOOCHING!!!!! It was just painfully lame.

Brokeback Mountain on the other hand was absolutely beautiful. It was even better than I thought it would be. I plan on seeing it again when Cullen gets into town.

In other news, it snowed a bit while I was in downtown Portland and people went batshit crazy. It was like they'd never experienced it before. Stores were closing down, news crews were out and everyone whipped out their cell phones to tell everything they knew all about it. It also took over an hour to drive back to Vancouver, it was ridiculous.

Back to work.
