It was a warm Saturday afternoon and the St Patricks day parade was in full swing. I was working in the backyard, when in the distant, I heard the distinct sound of Social Distortion. I called my buddy up and asked him if they were playing. The answer was a resounding "YES", lets go. I first heard Social D at the ripe old age of 18 and have followed their career since. It was excellent, I had not been to a concert in quite awhile and forgot how to act. Thankfully, I remembered large quantities of beer was a prerequisite and I was up for the challenge. Part of me wanted to slam my way to the front of the stage, like back in the day. I am a little older now, a little wiser. The question I asked myself was, what did I learn from this experience? Absolutely something. I still enjoyed the band and I do not miss the bloody noses or the loss of my glasses for the third time. Standing there amongst the crowd, attempting to relive my youth and thinking how great it is to be alive. Thank you for sharing this moment of nostalgia with me.
