But I thought today was Tuesday...
So yesterday ended up being not too bad. we weren't too busy, so although I was solidly working all day yesterday, I wasn't swamped. I managed to make a dent in my work pile that looked pretty impressive and everything... even being the only one on dispatch...
Apparently everyone thinks today is Monday.... we were bombarded by calls this morning... to the point where we were scrambling for techs (8 calls before 10am)
So we got through that... just when I thought my day was shaping up to be comfortable and un-hurried... a bombshell comes across my desk...
Without divulging too much info... we have a special client who uses credit cards for their rental invoices... they have decided to get rid of said method of payment... now in the Month it took me to finally get the straight info on how they planned to pay, I accumulated 9 invoices (at least) that need to be paid.... Now, they finally gve me an answer, but since the invoices have already been issued either they have to pay these with a card, or I have to go into the system... void all the invoices... then re-issue new ones under a different payment method... Now when I say 9 invoices, I mean complicated ones... and those are just the ones that I physically have received, it doesn't count the ones that have been issued yet not physically in my possession.
This, and on top of it, I have a painful infection that is making life uncomfortable right now...
I keep telling myself "Well at least I get to leave at 130 today!" but that's to go to a meeting!
Blah... I just want some antibiotics for this pain, and a magic wand to fix the invoice mess...scratch that, just the magic wand... I can use that to get rid of the infection too! and give myself more money... and infact get a dream job... Man, having a magic wand would rule!
