I struggled to write it, because most funny or comical characters have actually a sad or severe backround.
I have a few other things in mind (as 'unfunny' as this , sorry) but I Don't know if I'm going to write them.

Anyway, poor Martin! It's so true to life that you can just drift apart from friends and then one day it hits you. And in Martin's case, hits hard. And Douglas, sweetheart that he is beneath all the sarcasm...just awwww!

You did a great job. I hope you write more Cabin Pressure fics!
