So, our home was broken into. No one was hurt. Thank goodness! But the house was left in shambles--mattresses turned over, couch cushions thrown everywhere, entire closet shelves cleared, vases broken, papers spread across the floor, et cetera. The only thing the burglar(s) took was my four year old laptop, which I just paid $300 to get fixed

I doubt it is people we know. Our neighborhood, even though it's in a middle-class area, and our community is one of those dumb electronic gated places, has a lot of robberies. There's been a lot theft within a mile radius. I guess it was just our turn. There's always a first for anything. It's just sad seeing your home all screwed up looking. There was a straight up shoeprint on my bedsheets :(

ugh!!! the footprint must the ultimate kick in the face for sure! robbers think because it's gated community, probably have the most things to steal!

EW! i hate people!! i think there are mini crimes going on! my dad's car got vandalized & i know of someone's neighborhood where there were 50 cars broken into. ridiculous! i hate people.. blaaah.
