Absolutely beautiful. Stunningly beautiful.
This is my favorite of your stories thus far.
I'm a puddle on the floor. Guh. Speechless.

Let me count the ways that I love this particular story......

1) The cold.
When they're laying together, sitting together, touching each other....they're warm. The moment they separate, they freeze. Cody didn't even realize how cold he was until he climbed back into bed with Nick.

2) Misunderstandings.
Bless their little miscommunicating hearts. Nick thinks Cody wants to break up. Cody thinks Nick doesn't want to leave the MP's. Poor babies! They are both terrified to imagine a future without each other. They rip my heart out.

3) Nick cocooning himself in his blankets to hide his hurt and misery.
'Nuff said.

4) Make-up sex.
Subtle and lovely. They both feel much better once they reconnect. Love that Cody **has** to make love with Nick to feel good again.

......and finally, last but not least....

5) Cody's inability to (pick any of the following)communicate/deal with/face/share/ his feelings.Bless

I LOVE that you noticed the cold. I see that in canon even: they need to be warm, and when things are uncomfortable, they look cold and shivery. Warm's safe and it's what they give each other.

Bless his little repressed heart. Who did this to him? Who made him this way? I love that you delved a bit into his past and showed us a glimpse of his childhood.

Oh, what a delicious story! I have a button for cold/warmth stuff, and this was so well done and so sweet. Cody and his (mis)communication skills, Nick trying to fix everything with coffee, omg, great.

Emerging from the blankets, Nick sat up, pulling away from Cody, retreating into the corner.

Aw, poor troubled Nick. I'm so glad Cody made it better.
