34 - The Pillars of Creation - Terry Goodkind; I enjoyed this a lot more than the last one, though still rankling at his politics... Jennsen never did get a brain, but at least it explained the stuff that had me going "But, but..." at the start. Richard and Kahalan finally turned up, right at the end. All in all a decent read.

31 - Thorn Queen - Richelle Mead; I loved this so, so much. There I was thinking the plot was blatantly obvious and wham, curve ball hit me in the stomach. It had some really gritty, uncomfortable bits, but equally it had some cheering out loud bits.
