* It was a relief to have NO Damon/Elena interaction.
* Damon was much more believable with Mason and Alaric. He can still be interpreted as way too good, but it wasn't so blatant this time.
* Damon whump. Yesss, more Damon in pain, thank you.
* I liked how the ghost story was resolved, it wasn't too over the top.
* I don't know why Jeremy would be so hung up on Anna, but hey. I liked it.
* I also liked that Bonnie wasn't a pushover about it.
* No Tyler: good
* Lexi: awesome
* Now Elena is responsible for making Stefan feel again. I half feared she just had to kiss him to bring him back, but they at least left that for another week (or so :)).
* All in all, it was a pretty good episode - considering that Katherine wasn't in it at all.
Before this ep, I had pretty much given up on season 3 Damon. I took refuge in season 2 Damon, and came away with a few recs:
Title:
Put On Their Sunday BestRating: R
Pairing: Katherine/Damon (on the surface)
Author's Summary:"I think my Elena impression isn't too bad, really." Episode tag for 2.06.
My opinion: Takes place when it's clear that Damon is hopelessly in love with Elena. Damon is sulking and Katherine comes to him and acts like Elena and he goes along with it and makes love to her. Sad and twisted and beautiful and poor Damon. Oh, the illicit hotness.
Title:
BFFRating: NC-17
Pairing: Elena/Damon/Stefan
Author's Summary:Elena makes Bonnie and Damon behave with each other, sort of. Then Damon and Elena go home.
My opinion: Threesome ftw. Hilarious Damon characterization.
Hope you like!
