Still kind of freaking out..

Okay, so I'm starting to get my grades back from finals, and I about puked.

First grade, English..A yay!

Second grade, Bio D+...

yeah, my first D ever, in anything.

Then I thought, this can't be right

I have all my grades from Bio (on the computer) and I either got a 77 on the final, or 77 out of 150. (most likely that one, I can't tell by the way it's written on Vista) Which makes me sick in itself. But either way, there's only one way to twist the numbers (of both grades) and come out with a D+, and that's if you count the final as about 50% and as 1/3 (which according to the teachers little thing, it's not it's a little over 1/8th of the grade)

It's just making me miserable, I've been trying to keep busy, but I'll find out on monday if that's my actual grade.

God it really sucks. This is why I don't put a lot of effort into it. If I put as much effort into all of my classes as I did this fucking class I'd have an A+ in all of them. But I couldn't realistically do that because there isn't enough hours in the day.

Sure, I didn't go to as many classes as I possibly should have. But it became too taxing. I'd have to write down the notes the night before, just to go the class at nine in the morning, only for her to say exactly what's on the powerpoint slides (too fast for me to copy them in class) So I basically was a sleep. But I wrote down the notes at night, I studied the review guide, I got my Lab grade up to a B, I did the extra credit. I put soo much effort into this fucking class. So it really upsets me, that I'm only smart enough to possibly get a C, and at worst get a D+. That really makes me miserable and really makes my self confidence become like miniscule.

And not to mention, I need an A in my polisci class to keep my scholarship, if the teacher doesn't change my grade. (Which it should change..)
But even still, it might not, because I've seen via Laura's roomate how much Uconn truly care's about it's students and teachers can have egos, I don't know about this one though..she seemed nice in the email..If it doesn't change, she better give me a reason why, because the math doesn't add up to it being a D+ (and I checked several times) It's a 72.95, or 73...that's a C.

I mean sure, I know Bio is not my thing, science in general isn't. But still, I think I could have achieved a 50% on my final had I not studied, instead of studying for 15+ hours. Stuff like Polisci and Psych, that should have been an easy A were put off because I had to use up all of my time studying for Bio or do a lab for bio, only to recieve a C.

I guess that's why I don't try as hard as I should sometimes. If I hadn't put in a lot of effort, this wouldn't have bothered me as much, because I could have said, well I had been stupid, but I know I COULD have gotten a good grade, had I tried (see stats..) But this is different. This took up so much time, so much energy, so much stress..only to believe that I could pull off a B, and then get a D+ on my trascript (which hopefully gets changed to a C) It sucks to really try at something and then fail. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do decently well in this class. I would be happy with a C, really happy with a B...but a D+ just makes me feel like I wasted four months, and it hurts..because I just feel dumb.
