Uh... ::DIES::I can't believe she contacted me. This woman is unbelievably talented, miraculously talented. Her voice is one I've been trying to emulate since the late 80's, but I haven't made it yet, although I have learnt to sing many of her songs like "Changerais-tu" and my favourite, "Air fail a lail ó." I actually phonetically taught the ( Read more... )

That is so AWESOME!!! I am totally squeeing for you! and jumping up and down in my chair!

I felt much the same when George Ella Lyons actually commented on my "Where I'm From" poem. Much happy dancing ensues on your behalf!

I'm squeeing in my skivvies, lemme tell you. I'd about given up on any more new Talitha music, so it's thrilling to hear about "Indian Summer."

And kudos to you for the comment from GEL! You deserve it, with the excellent poetry you write.

You should put that album on your current wish list. Never know when it might turn up in your mail box! (and for the record, I'm not sure I've ever heard you sing. You should totally do a voice post you know.)

It must make you wonder how she found you! I'd love to know. Do you suppose she has time to just "google' her own name or something?

That is SO FANTASTIC!!!!
Reminds me when I got a personal e-mail from Candia from Inkubus Sukkubus. Just blows you away when you get something one-to one from someone you really admire!
(I can only guess what it was like getting your first contact from B!)

That took 10 years off my life. And it took months before he'd actually fess up and admit it was him. Long story having to do with Parc Stic and Brother Alexander Leviticus Stic.

Woo!

Go you! I would love to hear some of her music. Is there a place one can hear samples?

Hi there,

Just to demystify you all, I pick up internet mentions of me via Google Alerts, mainly to monitor radio playlists. Every now and then I get word of something posted on a forum, which I try to read and reply to, when I have a bit of downtime. These take the place of the old-fashioned bags of fan mail and I take them just as seriously.

For those of you who are interested in my recordings from the 90s, I have a separate MySpace page with tracks like "Chi mi na Morbheanna" and "Ajde Jano" posted: http://www.myspace.com/puirtabeul

And for those who are thinking of buying my new album, Indian Summer, the exchange rate is more favourable now, if you want to get it online: http://www.sonasmultimedia.com. Alternatively, I have someone working with me in Florida, so please get in touch through my website if you prefer to send a cheque in $$. It's on sale for the month of November (Native-American ( ... )
