With a sad conclusion, his friends made on his life, they decided that Yunho needed a partner so they went on the Internet and bought him one-- a perfect lover in a box, with just a tiny detail glitch: his lover's male.
Chapter one: The Receiving

"Are you sure this is a good present?" the youngest questioned, his arms crossed.

The man with the idea was sitting on the computer chair, typing away with a smirk on his face. "Of course its a good idea, Yunho doesn't barely make time to hang out with us-- I'm sure he's lonely at night" he answered, knowing that their dear friend needed tender touches like an ordinary man did. Another man looked at the two starting their usual bickering, he sighed. "I'm not sure if this is a good idea, Yoochun-- I mean....do you think Yunho would like this in the first place?"

Yoochun nodded, "Yes-- I'm sure" the mouse made a clicking sound, "Now help me pick"

And the two sighed and groaned in defeat.

"Nice or Naughty?" Yoochun started off.

"In what exactly?" the youngest one asked.

"In general?" Yoochun answered, "Changmin, if it was for bed I think it would specifically say its for bed" he replied with a sly smirk.

Changmin rolled his eyes while Junsu pouted, "I think Yunho would like him to be nice...in general" he smiled.

"Warm or Cold?"

"Both" Junsu and Changmin agreed. They knew how Yunho wanted a variety of things.

"Smart or Dumb?"

Changmin raised an eyebrow, "What kind of questions are these?"

Yoochun sighed, "Its a complete test on what you want your lover to be-- the more specific the better"

Junsu sighed, "Smart" he replied, "I think Yunho would prefer someone with knowledge".

"Straight, wavy, or curly hair?"

Junsu and Changmin both replied, "Straight". They all knew how Yunho loved straight hair.

Yoochun sighed, "This is going to be a loooong test!" he chuckled, clicking to the next question.

But it was going to be worth it because they were doing their friend a favor by getting him this. He needed this.

He needs a lover in a box.

Doesn't everyone?

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

The young president groaned in his bed, tossing and turning due to the annoying sound the alarm clock made early in the morning. He got out of the crinkled blankets and slammed his curled fist on the clock, shutting the damned noise maker. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, walking himself up more. He sat up and scratched the back of his head and blinked twice, "Another day another pay!" he nodded to himself as he got out of bed.

He stretched his arms up high as he walked through the hall; feeling the cold wooden walls touch the bottom of his feet making him shiver a little. Once he made it to the kitchen, the smell of fresh coffee hit his nostrils, he smiled. Picking up his morning coffee mug from the mug shelve and grab the freshly made coffee pitcher off the automatic coffee maker, tilting it to serve himself a cup of coffee. Once his cup was filled, he placed the pitcher down and took a sip of his morning coffee and completely woke himself up for the day.

He headed back to his bedroom and into the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth, after his morning routine, he went inside his walk-in closet and choose an outfit. He sighed, taking a sip of his coffee as his eyes previewed the clothing in front of him. He couldn't decide on wearing a striped suit or without stripes so he sighed and just took the suit without stripes. Black's slimming anyways he thought, nodding to himself.

In a few minutes he was all dressed up for work, cuffing his links as the final touch to his image he walked to the full-view mirror and checked for any possible flaws.

Nothing.

A smile crept on his face, "Ready to go" he smiled to himself, taking the coffee mug from the counter and walked to the kitchen. He placed the mug on the counter and heard his phone vibrate. He took his mobile phone and saw it was his dear friend, Yoochun.

"Yoochun?" he answered.

"Yo, birthday boy!" his friend answered with happiness in his voice.

Yunho blinked, "Birth...birthday boy?" he asked, did he really forget his birthday?

Yoochun chuckled, "Dude. Don't tell me you forgot your own birthday" he sounded sarcastic in some way. "I mean, its okay to forget your dear friends' birthday or your parents' birthday but man-- your own birthday?" his whole line was drowning in sarcasm. Everyone knew how work was important to Yunho. So it wasn't unusual for him to forget a birthday or a special event that is not work-related. Everything social just goes in the right ear and goes out through the left-- unless it had something to do with business, it'll stick in there somewhere, somehow.

Yunho bit his lower lip, "Today's February 6th?" he asked his friend for the date of the day.

"Uh-- yeah. Last time I checked it is as a matter of fact the 6th of February" Yoochun replied.

Yunho somehow found it funny he forgot his birthday and smiled, "Oh..." he chuckled, "...I forgot my own birthday" he really didn't find it hard to believe since it was a fact that he forgets every single birthday, anniversary, and other social gatherings. It just doesn't register in his mind. For some reason...it just didn't matter to him...or stuck in his mind in that matter.

"Listen, the guys and I planned a birthday dinner for the birthday boy tonight so don't do anything tonight and don't forget okay?"

"I'll try" Yunho replied with a smile still on his face, "Call me later just in case, alright?"

"Sure-- no thing and...expect something really really good as your birthday present from the guys to you, hyung-- you totally deserve it" he could hear the smile on Yoochun's face. Yunho nodded, "Uh...sure" he replied, "See you at work?"

"See you at work" Yoochun replied.

Once Yunho reported to his office, his desk was piled with paperwork and his agenda was packed, just like everyday single day he's lived in his 25 years.

"Hyung, there's someone by the name of Mr. Lee wanting a meeting tomorrow-- 3:30 PM- about a trade?" his assistant questioned the working man. Yunho glanced up at his assistant and sighed, "Umm...is the slot open, Changmin-ah?" he questioned. Changmin blinked and took a second to think twice, "Uh-- no. It's not filled, hyung" he answered. "Book it then" he answered. Changmin nodded, "Alright then" he was about to close the door but stopped and turned back to Yunho, "Remember tonight!" he reminded.

Yunho replied with a nod and got back to work.

As hours past, he kept his pace steady and straight. Only taking breaks when necessary and only talking to people when needed. He looked up the wall in front of him and saw the circular clock that read 5:28 PM. It was time for him to get off work. He puffed his cheeks with air then all of a sudden, Changmin opened the door.

"Hyung! Its time!" he grinned, walking towards the man with a walking gesture that was unusual and funny. Yunho smiled, "Alright-- I didn't forget" he replied and stood up, meeting his eyes with his assistant, "So....where are we going?" he asked, his voice had a hint of excitement. Something people rarely see in Jung Yunho.

The round table was set for the night's occasion and all it needs are the people who are going to be feasting on it. Yoochun, Junsu, and Changmin didn't bother inviting more than a couple of people-- or any people other then themselves for that matter; for they know Yunho's not the type to want to party on a work night. Yunho was the type of person who could be shy and sociable-- depending on the occasion. If it were business related, he'd be all over the guests smiling, talking the talk and walking the walk. When it comes with personal matters like family parties and such....he's a turtle in a shell. The exact opposite. No one really knew how he worked like that, but never the less the real friends always stuck with him since they've all got their interesting histories with each other.

Which to show, that their friendship and brotherhood is indeed-- true.

The restaurant door swung open making the bell hung right above the door frame ring, making the waiters know someone needed serving.

Changmin came in with a faint smile from a previous remark from the group's conversation about Yunho over-working all the time. Once again, his smart wits won hands down. The other three walked in right behind him, looking around the unfamiliar surrounding and standing in front of a line of "waiting chairs". Though as to the people watching these men saw them standing as posing, maybe it was just because there were more than 50% women in the house which gave them that reaction...or just the fact that they were born with everything: the looks, the rich families, the wits, and the personality. They all had it all.

What a typical group of rich kids, eh?

But deep inside these typical group of rich kids reveals a dark past...something you really wouldn't expect somebody like them to go through. But hey, they're people too.

Changmin raised his hand as his eyes followed a waitress coming their way with a smile, Junsu nudged Yoochun taking in account that the youngest was, indeed prying its prey. Yoochun smirked, he didn't see this side of the youngster so often so it was entertaining to watch while it was available. Yunho stayed in his own little bubble, both hands dug inside his pockets, his eyes changing its focus, his cheeks puffed with air. You could tell he wasn't use to these sort of things though he goes to business parties almost every night. Its just the business part that's different. There's just no business in this party.

Once Changmin and the waitress got acquainted, the four was sent to their reserved round table. Changmin sat down on the chair the waitress was near at while Junsu, Yoochun, and Yunho just sat in order. The waitress gave the four their menus and went off to serve other hungry customers, leaving Changmin.

"Wouldn't last five minutes" Junsu smirked as his eyes glided over the laminated menu.

Yoochun chuckled, "Wouldn't last a minute with his corny lines, bet you 5 bucks and a cup of coffee" he nodded once, positive of his bet to be 110% sure. Yunho smiled at their guesses, "Aish, you guys talk about Changmin flirting with the waitress on my birthday? Aish...really" he sighed, as if he was disappointed when inside, he was really happy. Happy just to even have dinner with his closest friends was enough for a good birthday in his book. Yoochun closed the menu as soon as he made a decision and took his attention to the birthday boy, "Oh, we're sorry" he smiled gently, "But you'll be very happy with your awesome best buds tonight-- wait till we crash your place and give your our gift!" he giggled in excitement.

Junsu smiled, "Yeah, hyung! We stayed up all night and thought of everything you could ever want!" his smile got even bigger. Changmin smiled though it was faint, "If anything at all goes bad hyung, its their idea" he nodded, "But if it all ends well, I paid most of it" he grinned.

Yunho chuckled, "So basically you guys bought me just one gift, right?" he smirked, he loved playing with them.

To his prediction, the three freaked and went on with how it was really an all around effort for Changmin paid and it was Yoochun's idea and it was Junsu's realistic adds to this certain "gift". Just talking about how much effort the three put into it made him wonder what this gift was. He sighed and shrugged, watching his friends talk with smiles on their faces. He just had to wait until they get to his place, he nodded to himself. He just had to wait.

The four gentlemen made their way to Yunho's home. Walking in the front gate for they used the cab. They took Yunho's car which happened to be parked in a parking alley which closes at 11:30 and they unfortunately ended their celebration a minute after. Which ceases their situation to getting a cab. Yunho shrugged the thought of his car for he had others at home, he'd get it in the morning, it was that simple.

The four were laughing and walking in an awkward fashion due to the bottles of beer they drank while celebrating another year of Yunho's life. That night, they actually saw the Yunho inside the businessman. They actually saw the laughing, care-free Yunho who was visible during his teenage years. But when he turned 19 and all responsibilities went to him, he changed in an instant.

It was both good and bad.

For one thing, it showed to everyone including himself that he was adaptable to new things...which is good. In his case, his life revolved around change. Another thing is that he needed to mature and this step did it all for him while for some other people it took them so much effort; but his friends and family do think it over-matured him.

Now, the bad side goes on and on for when Yunho went under this "transformation", he blocked out everything and everyone that would distract him. Feeling that even if he messes up just once everything would fall onto his shoulder then drop all to the ground, him drowning with all the mess he created. Thus, for a year he studied with no friends in hand though his friends did call him and interacted with him like always, he just didn't interact back.

Another bad outcome to this is that he forgets things, he forgets anything that doesn't fit into that "business department" in his head. Its sad, really. To find that he'd remember a fellow CEO's birthday he only met once and never remember his friend's birthday whom he met years and years ago.

But through the bad and mostly denial( there's really nothing good, really), his four friends stuck with him. Knowing that if ever he fell apart, they knew they wanted to be there for him because he would do the same in ways that would not seem caring...but deep down inside, its Yunho caring for them. They know that.

"Oh! I know what it is!" Yunho grinned, clapping his hands once before opening the grand gate to his mansion. Yoochun had both hands in his pocket, standing with this relaxed pose looking at Yunho. "What?" he replied.

"Its a robot!" he laughed, "Right? I mean....it helps me to do things, right?" he laughed again.

Yoochun smirked and nodded lazily, "Close...but not so close-- you're warm" he replied.

Yunho opened the gate and the group walked inside and jogged to his home, opening the grand door he paused and burped, laughing at himself he looked at his friends and smiled. "Thanks guys" he said, "I really had a fun birthday" he smiled and walked in, letting the others walk in as well. Junsu felt his heart warmed once hearing those two words, his arm wrapped around Yunho's neck, a grin across his face. "Its no problem at all! You know we love you and this is the least we can do" he nodded and gave his hyung a nuggy while he was in the right position to do such action.

Yunho replied with a yelp mixed with a laugh, wrapping his arms around Junsu as well. "Yah! How dare you do that to the birthday boy!" his voice was playful, the rare Yunho was in view. It made the three feel good to know the real Yunho's still down there deep down inside him. There's still that fun, kid-at-heart Yunho they know.

He's still there.

He just doesn't want to show it.

Yoochun stood there, watching Yunho play with Junsu. A smile crept on his face while he sighed, maybe this will help him get over that...he nodded and looked at Changmin, "You have it?" he mouthed the youngest. Changmin smiled with a nod, "Yeah" he replied. Changmin covered his free hand and burped silently then walked towards his Yunho and cleared his throat, eying the other gift participants as well.

"Ahem" he caught Yunho's attention, "And for the awaited moment of the night!" he paused, letting in Yoochun's and Junsu's lap drum rolls. Yunho had a simple smile on his face, feeling embarrassed and happy all at once.

"Tada!" Changmin held out a squared thin black box designed with a white ribbon, "Your birthday present!" he grinned.

"Happy birthday!" the three cheered, receiving a loud laugh from the birthday boy.

He took the black box and hugged Changmin, giving him a pat on the back. "Thanks Min" he smiled and moved to Junsu, "Thanks Su!" and lastly, Yoochun. "Thanks, Chun-ah" he patted his back and sighed, taking a look at the black box in his hands.

"What is it?" he asked.

The three piled into a single line, heading towards the door. Yoochun smiled, "That's the thing" he paused. "You have to see it for yourself" Junsu nodded, pausing for Changmin's turn. "So, we'll be leaving" he smiled and opened the door, waving bye to his hyung, "Happy birthday hyung!" he shouted. Junsu said the same thing as well. Yoochun looked back at the dumbfounded Yunho and chuckled, walking through the door and hung onto the doorknob, "Check your fridge for some ice cream goodies, kay?" he chuckled, "We hope you like it....or her a lot in this matter" he smiled and left.

Yunho blinked once... then twice....

"What?" the word managed to come out of his mouth.

His friends left him with the special present at hand with his mind, clueless of what's inside.

"Her?"
