Old Love & New Love

Hey guys!

Yeah, you wouldn't believe it ;) but I actually had a great time being with my friend Eve over New Years. She's just sooo much fun to be with and we like the same things so often.
Not always though and a lot less in the last years... :/
She can't stand Bobby Goren and I'm not much into all the JAG-stuff, at least not even a quater as much as she is. *lol*

Well, who thought we'd actually be able to agree on a favorite guy again?!
Oh, we do agree quite often in terms of hotness, just not concerning our absolute favorites...
So when we went to the new James Bond movie "Casino Royale" I didn't go there with our fav list in the back of my mind. *lol* Maybe I should have! :p
Wouldn't have changed things any bit though. It was love on first sight. ;D
Especially because there had been so much bad mouthing for Daniel Craig before the film even was out. I went into the cinema, swearing to myself to be open-minded. Not that I completely was, because Eve had already spoiled me. She'd seen it before and had absolutely loved it. :) But, as said above, it was love on first sight for me. I mean, Daniel's hot and the humor was just great and him not getting the girl right away just because he's Bond, and him being NOT invincible...

Okay, I knew Vesper - what a name is that anyways?! - would 'betray' him, but that comes from being a Bond fan since the age of 10 or 12 and having a cool Grandpa who bought the book back in 1960 or so. I found it in my Grandma's collection and read it when I was 14 or so. - I didn't like it back then. Or to be more specific, I didn't like the torture scene. Not a freaking bit. I hated the whole book because of that!!!
So, I'm actually pretty happy there's not much of the real hard atmosphere to be seen in the new movie. Yeah, he does get tortured, but that's the PG-13 version and even though I don't like that either, it's at least bearable.

There are quite a few things I love very much about the new Bond resp. the movie:
- The 'perfectly formed ass' comment, he just looks too cute replying to that ;)
- The dinner jacket discussion *lol*
- "It's amazing what you can do with Photoshop these days." (although Mathis says that)
- The merry drive-around the traffic island in front of the hotel :D
- The fight out on the balcony where he tells her that she's stupid
- The soothing scene in the shower

So, to say it officially: Casino Royale is the BEST BOND EVER for me now, and Daniel Craig is my new favorite James. ;D Eve's favorite too, by the way. *LOL*

There's just this little thing that keeps bugging me - aside from the torture scenes.
I can't shake the feeling that I should know the Croupier from the Poker table in the 'Casino Royale'. There's no reason why I should though! I mean, I've been to Austria on my school trip and we were in a Casino there...but we played Roulette and I'm sure I didn't see the guy there! That would be just too much of an coincidence!!! ;) *lol*
So, do I confuse the guy with someone?!

A magician maybe???
*shrug*
I don't know. Can't seem to figure it out...

Well then - See ya,
tinchen
