I'm not quite sure what I'll be doing for the day today, but a shower is a good start. My husband is sick in bed, so avoiding the bedroom for a while is a must. He is such a light sleeper that just opening the door wakes him up. I guess my shower will have to wait until he gets out of bed. Ugh.
The weather has warmed up, unseasonably so, and that kind of scares me. I ALWAYS get sick when the temperatures rise like this in the wintertime. Usually, I can avoid leaving the house to go outside where the thawing germs that have been frozen into the ground and dormant lie in wait to get me, but probably not today.
Bob hasn't gone grocery shopping in ages and there really isn't much here to eat, so I'm afraid it'll be my job to go fetch. Ugh. I don't really care about food so much, but my ailing husband does. I think I should make him some chicken soup, but that isn't really possible without a chicken to prepare and that means I have to leave the comforts of home and risk the plague to go to the market. My chronic ear infection is very present to begin with, not painful at all, just annoying, and the weirdness of menopause keeps my resistence against illness too low to fight nastiness. I'm doomed.
But, I'll be a good little wife and nurturing caregiver despite my fears. It's my job. I care more about my husband getting well than I do about me and my little germ phobia.
Oh, I think he's awake!
The shower is beckoning....
sick,
