I have no idea what the hell I'm doing up and drinking coffee at this time of day, but I am. In the middle of the night, I took a couple of Tylenol PM to get rid of my sinus headache and knock myself out for longer than a few hours, but that didn't work out all that well. Obviously. I slept for only about six hours and I need much more than that if I'm going to get rid of this annoying cold. At least it isn't the flu, I guess.
The heat wave we've been having in the dead of winter has about run its course. As I predicted, it was here long enough to thaw out the germs for a minute and of course, they got me. Snow is in the forecast, so we shall see if that helps me on the road to recovery. I'll take a nap or two throughout the day today and I only have to work six hours tomorrow, so I should be able to muddle through the next couple of days just fine. Going to the doctor is NOT an option. If I'm not nearly dead, there is no need. This is just a cold. I'll live to bitch for a while longer. That's just how I roll...
One of the veterans in the classified sales department is working her last day tomorrow, so as with most office environments on such occasions, the staff is having a farewell party with treats. Bob is making a Kahlua cheesecake for me to take to work. Yay for husbands that can bake! Gosh, he makes fabulous gourment desserts. I'm excited!
Far from having any energy whatsoever, I'm going to just sit here and crochet and/or knit for a while, then nap.
