Based on the 9 minutes of leaked footage of the upcoming "Thundercats" reboot on Cartoon Network, I've come two conclusions:

Cartoon Network gave us a sneak peak of the new Thundercats series.

Looks familiar, yet a very different storyline from the original series.  It also has a very strong anime look, artwork is quite gorgeous.  I'll reserve full judgement until I've seen a full episode, but this could be quite interesting, in a good way.

I might want this T-shirt.

Just sayin'.

The previous Thundercats post I made was very sad and awful (RIP Stephen Perry.)

So, I feel I need to balance that bad news with something happier and fluffier and cuter.

One of the original writers for "Thundercats" was MURDERED!

Police in Florida this week said 56-year-old Stephen Perry, who wrote for the 1980s cartoon series Thundercats, was murdered. The man had gone missing for nearly two weeks, and police reportedly found his arm inside of his abandoned van on the grounds of a Tampa Bay hotel May 16.

The only way I could describe this is ifLion-O and Mumm-ra were drawn in the style of "The Fairly Oddparents".  Kind of that retro '60's style.  It's kind of cute!
