Every evening after dinner we go for a nice long walk with the dogs. Lately we have been walking across the agriculture college campus near our house. There are some horses that live on the campus and we like to visit them on our walks. At first the dogs were suspicious of the horses and bounced at the ends of their leashes, yipping while the horses stared at them. It seems the dogs, especially Elsa, has grown quite fond of the horses. She likes to get right up to the fence and look at the horses. Sometimes the horses will wander over to check her out too. Tonight, one russett colored little horse came right up to the fence and put his nose down by Elsa. Elsa responded by sticking her nose through the chain link and sniffing the horse's nose. For a couple of minutes, the horse and the little Boston Terrier seemed to be hypnotized by each other. Then, Elsa gave the horse several affectionate kisses on his nose. A. and I were almost crying from the cuteness.

Next time we will bring the camera!
