Every year I have to make my predictions as to which teams will be advancing and so on. The playoffs start Wednesday...we'll see in two months just how correct I am. I'm not picking my favourite teams necessarily, I'm picking who I predict will actually come out on top in June.

The 2009 Academy Awards are now a thing of the past and honestly, I haven't enjoyed one that much in years. I had qualms here and there but I thought Hugh Jackman was a great host. Well...now that round two is officially over, I'm officially not in the mood to care about the Stanley Cup playoffs any further. I don't even know which team I want to see win any more...Dallas bores me, I never liked Detroit, I'm sick of the Pittsburgh love, and of course, I despise Philly right now.

Every year I do this, just to see how awesome I am. This is the most pumped I've been for a long time, because I'm rooting for a team that is actually pretty thoroughly solid right now.

Let's see how I predict things will go, in Round 1 and beyond.

Well, the second round is over, the team I was rooting for got tossed, one Canadian team stands, and three other rather good teams are left. One is old, one is tough, one is fast.
