Don't Stop Believing

It's the long weekend, I didn't really leave the house all day on Saturday - except to claim some empty bottles at Shar & Ian's house. They were leftovers from their wedding a few weeks back and Shar has always "donated" her empties to me because she couldn't be bothered returning them - whereas I make returning them an "event". Hey, free money is free money - and I'm helping out my buddies in the process so it's all good.

That said, such a thing can't be the highlight of my day, can it?

I played a solid game of volleyball with my bro which was rad - mostly because I won - but also because I did a few really cool 360 degree dives and rolls to keep the ball in play. Hey, it's ridiculous, but it gets me a decent work out. And volley-ing skills are quite applicable to...uh...crap. Well it's fun, anyway.

So, in the evening I had a hankering for going out and doing something fun. It turns out that me and some of my buddies, the Flying Squirrels as we are unofficially known, went to a karaoke bar not far from Mike's house. (He came, along with Katie, and our other friend Nathan, who usually doesn't hang out due to distance AND the fact he's busy schooling at UBC.) So yeah, the karaoke was kinda hit and miss, as usual - they didn't play too many songs I really liked, but I was entertained when Mike and Nathan went up for a rousing rendition of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'". If you don't know the song I found a YouTube video to share.
