Well, it seems that I nearly let the day go by without making a mention that it was my dear pug's birthday today. Happy birthday, George! (He's 28 in dog years...so the same as me, I guess. Yikes!)

I found the following article from this link that Melissa sent me via e-mail today. I know it's just for shock value to most, but the fact that some people out there actually do believe this sort of thing is crazy, ill-educated, and just plain retarded.
Heath Ledger chose to promote the vile sin of sodomy in defiance of God's law. No one made him play a faggot cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain". No one made him kiss another man, in a flagrant attempt to further desensitize not only americans but Bible-illiterate fools the world over to the filthy depravity that is faggotry. He chose to do that all on his own. He could have used that bully pulpit he has to promote the cause of God and truth instead. God has repaid him to his face for his filth. Thank God for His Justice. All who flaunt God's law can expect the same. Amen.
He ignored his duty to God and is paying the ultimate price for it now.

I wonder if they get just as pissed over movies that focus on other sins - theft, murder, rape, etc...and I've quite had enough with people being upset about Brokeback Mountain as a social issue. It's a movie, people. Some like it, some didn't. But what people don't get is that actors want to act and do different things. Actually, I know people DO get that, except some idiots like the one that wrote the article I have in italics. Yeesh.
I understand that I'm more liberal than many, especially conservative right-wingers out there, and we have different views on these social issues. Fine. But the God I know doesn't wish death upon people under any circumstance, no matter what their creed or orientation or situation.
