Snowbody's Perfect!

It started to snow again, today.

Now, I know plenty of you out there are thinking, "Dude, that dude lives up in Canada, dude, so why is snow a surprise? Dude..." Well yes, that's true. But here in Vancouver we're lucky to get two days of snow a year in the city, so any time it happens, it's huge. I still love the snow, too - at least in the early going, cuz it looks gorgeous and because, commuting aside, it's tonnes of fun. I think virtually everyone in the city only hates snow because of the driving conditions - both the poorly salted and cleared roads, and the terrible drivers (of all races and creeds, no less!). Yes, the commute may be bad on Monday, but it's snow!

"Chill out and enjoy, people."

During the morning snowfall I finally got my hair trimmed. Everything was fine - I look damn sexy (biased opinion) - but this was the first time that I ever recall having my eyebrows trimmed. Seriously, I don't recall this ever happening before - and I didn't ask for it today, either. What, do I look bushy and frazzled like Andy Rooney (of 60 Minutes fame) or something?

Next up on the list of winter activities, I watched my pathetic Habs play again tonight - and lose to the Nashville Predators. It was in a shootout so at least we got a point, but we didn't have any business even being there based on our crappy play during the rest of the game. And I'm sorry, but Huet just sucks in net - in that, if he lets in one bad goal, he REALLY lets it get the better of him and he just falls apart thereafter. This is a trend I do not like seeing in my team, moving forward.

And lastly - I want a Wombler for Christmas. Desperately. Most people don't even know what the heck I'm talking about when I (rightfully) demand this object, so let me fill you in: back in the 80's, the years of my childhood, Womblers were a popular thick plastic toy in the shape of a giant cup (more like a giant contact lens) about four feet wide that could both rock to and fro and float. The local pool here had a pair of them during my youth, and my mom was lucky enough to buy one second hand for her daycare about a decade ago. Sadly, said Wombler met its demise when we took it up to Diefenbaker Park during one of our freak Vancouver snowstorms a few years back (2000-2002, I think?) and used it as a tobogganing tool. It spun out of control, went off a jump, and cracked in two. It was so fast and out of control, I want it very, very much. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or sees something resembling this, please contact me! (My mom would also like one for the daycare too, so it's not just for me!)

PS - I can't seem to find ANY pics or links online. As soon as I do, I'll post something.
