Not that there's anything wrong with that...
A month ago, I made a post here about how there's one customer that comes in at least once a week and checks me out - which is flattering, but I would never go for it, cuz it's a DUDE. And I'm hetero. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, but it just doesn't do it, for me, personally.
That got me thinking, though - a LOT of people think that I am gay at first, or even when they know I'm not, say I have a lot of homosexual tendencies.
And now, I present to you, a list of reasons I have actually heard that made people think that I am (or at one time, they thought I was) gay...some are crass, I forwarn you, but this is stuff I have truly heard.

REASONS WHY I'M APPARENTLY GAY (according to others)
1) I go to matinee movies alone frequently.
2) I try to retain my clean-shaven, quasi-baby-face look.
3) I love the west end of Vancouver and want to visit San Francisco again.
4) Due to my ecclectic music tastes, a number of teenie-pop artists have sparingly appeared on my burned CD collections.
5) I use the word "delicious" to describe things that aren't edible.
6) One of my favourite colour combinations is metallic purple and hot pink.
7) My fictional hero is a dude that wears tights. And a cape.
8) I've a good relationship with my parents.
9) When I give my pug a talking voice, it has a gay Mexican/Polish accent.
10) I play a character named "Gay Nazi #3" in my Saving Private Brian movies.
11) I've predominantly female friends, and I have gotten with only a handful of said friends.
12) Most women relegate me to that nice category of "a good friend". Some even use the term "Dyke Mike".
13) I love the theatre and love to act.
14) I love foreign accents, it doesn't matter where from.
15) I have a penchant for fudge.
16) I always get defensive when someone says Batman and Robin are gay. (My rebuttal is that Robin is just a kid that hangs out in the cave to keep the British guy company.)
17) My official primary nickname is T-Bag.
18) I saw Brokeback Mountain and appreciated it for its quality filmmaking.
19) I think rainbows are pretty sweet.
20) I am a Catholic, yet I support the notion of gay marriage.
21) I use the word "lovely" quite frequently.
22) I can be moody but am generally a happy person.
23) I once checked someone out that I thought was hot...turned out it was a dude with long hair.
24) I've never officially had a girlfriend. (Came real close quite recently though!)
25) I don't wear my jeans or boxer shorts halfway down my ass.
Yeah. Like I said, I've no problem with it myself, but as a heterosexual, I like - you know - girls. But as was implied by a few of these answers, so many of them only see me as friend material - which is lovely and delicious, of course, but I rarely feel it going any further than that.
