After their last outing had once again taken a tumultuous turn, the Doctor had found himself growing increasingly anxious for another attempt at a date, but one that actually progressed with relatively little bother. He briefly thought it was, perhaps, too much to hope for, but that had never stopped him before. This time, he decided, the best option was to simply not leave home at all; a night in had the possibility of being just as enjoyable as a night out, after all. And given his supreme confidence in his culinary abilities, he felt enthusiastic about cooking for his TARDIS.
It wasn't as though he could really surprise her, after all, so as he set to boiling the pasta, he rather casually commented to her, I'm making dinner for both of us tonight, TARDIS. I thought perhaps we might try another date...dinner, this time. I believe you're aware of the romantic connotations? What do you think?
