so we had a meeting at the new rock gym location today. this place is going to be fucking amazing. they had a model for a loose idea of how the gym was going to be layed out. and it's HUGE. it's literally twice the size of the existing gym and the walls are going to have so many different angles and faces. it really sucks because this gym is ( Read more... )

hey! i was just looking through some old old entries of mine and came across some comments from a few months ago. did you ever end up moving to LA? if you did, and you're here... i would love to go climbing!

yeah, i remember 'talking' to you :) i haven't moved yet - i need to wait at least until i get my driver's license back [dec. 27th] and get a new car [i can't move cross country in a honda civic. ha. just my crash pad takes up the whole back seat]. i might fly out there sometime before i move to check out different areas. i'll hopefully be out there in january at which point i would love to go climbing :)

awesome... do you have a lot of friends out here already? or any specific areas in mind?

i'll be doing a cross country trip in january myself, because i'll be visiting my folks in nyc - and they're supposedly planning to buy me a car. but i'm not really banking on it - i drove from LA just to Phoenix by myself not too long ago, and it wasn't all that enjoyable. i'm someone that values being alone 95% of the time, but that was just hell.

i'm sure i'll know a few people that need roomies toward mid-december, when schools have winter break and everyone starts moving around. i'll let you know.

but i actually have my own studio for $600 - so that's something to consider too. you can find pretty inexpensive singles here if you're flexible about location.

i have a few friends out there from when i was in my band [we toured a bit] and from just hanging out there here and there. my best friend lives out there which is the main draw for me. i don't really have any specific areas in mind as long as i'm somewhat close to a decent rock gym and not too far from the USC campus [aka where my best friend lives ( ... )
