So, since we last spoke, I have gotten on my boyfriend's health insurance plan and seen a doctor.
He basically took one look at my paperwork from PP and said, "Oh yeah, I would say your TSH is elevated."
So I've been taking synthroid for a little over three weeks now.
Honestly, I don't feel that much different. I seem to get slightly less headachey, and my body isn't super cranky all the time, but other than that there hasn't been any big change.
I have an appointment in June to get my blood re-evaluated and to see if the dosage needs to be upped, so I suppose that only time will tell.
In other news, I applied to a bunch of places for a job on Monday, and I had an interview today for Cumberland Farms. It's like a 7-11 but with a gas station attached.
I also have an offer to babysit for a friend of Dan's that just recently had a baby. They want a 10-3 shift, M-F for $100 a week. Honestly, not to keen on that, $4 an hour isn't really good money. But it's something in case Cumbys doesn't pan out.
THEN, I have another offer for Dan's stepsister's second-hand shop. She needs someone for the summer since her only employee is going home once school is out. Her pay rate is minimum wage, plus a commission for things sold. I was totally gung-ho about that until she told me seasonal.
Dan is going to talk to his friend and see if he's willing to up his rate to at LEAST $120 a week, and then I might take the babysitting. But at this point, as long as I get another call from Cumbys it seems likely that I will take that job and decline the other two.
Or maybe I'll work two jobs, depending on what hours I get scheduled.
So, that's really all the news I have. I was thinking about going back to school soon, so I've been looking into the community college that's in the area. Biggest downfall with it so far is that it doesn't have a concentration in the major I want to go into, which is English/Linguistics. We'll see, we'll see.
And that's really all.
