You are my hero. Seriously. You played this so well - especially with the flashbacks, and they're totally believable. Because while he's always been an adorable kid and likely so personable, I totally believe that kids still pick on him and he doesn't do much to fight back (or fights back poorly) because that's not what Jared's like. So the insecurity is realistic, being rooted so far back in his life.
And then when his new security is all in him being a joker? It was such a smart thing to play on because EVERYONE sees him as the silly, fun, open guy. But it's a nice twist that it would get to him and it would cause him pain and doubt. I totally thought of Smokey Robinson's "Tears of a Clown" through his conversation with Jensen about being a joke to people.
And the ending line is so touching, and empowering, really. Reminds me of Bridget Jones' Diary with the 'just the way you are' statements, and I love that.
Do I even need to comment on the sex? Because it's awesome, and I love that Jensen doesn't need anything more than Jared driving him there. Awesome.

Aww, thank you!! *hugs* This is actually completely different from the one I was talking about posting. Well, mostly. I kinda did it over and came out with this, and it's definitely a lot better. The first one I wrote was just...lol...yeah.
