Arthur & Gwen Fic Reccing
I agree with the earlier posters when they say that icon is distracting. It's difficult to think with a bare-chested icon on display. ;o)
Reccing fics I admit I don't review them as much as I should but I'd say my three favourite authors are kepp0xy, sophielou21 and dfriendly because they do the fics that I remember best. I like both kepp0xy and sophielou21 not least because they are they are something like pioneers of Arwen fiction cause they wrote it when it wasn't really done. dfriendly I love simply because she's excellent.
kepp0xy I view almost as like the Mother Hen of the Arthur & Gwen fics and you know you're always safe reading something from her. It is always gonna be good and it is very difficult to choose a favourite among her stuff. That said I will try: Baptism By Fire (I LOVE THIS ONE! It is so well written and so original), There's No Such Thing as Forbidden Fruit When You're Crown Prince, Dawn Surprise, Three Times Merlin Walked in on Arthur and Gwen, Merlin Arthur/Gwen and Moonlight Serenade (The first fic I ever read by her and the second Arwen fic I ever read in the fandom after To you and admirer by my next reccing...)
sophielou21 I know in RL. She loves Arthurian muthology and its just so obvious in her fics that she knows it so well. Everything is so beautifully detailed and well thought out. She wrote To You An Admirer which deserves recognision alone but I think at times her other stuff is a bit underrated. I especially want to mention the following: The Tale of the Handmaiden, In her Father's Image, The Observations of Sir Leon (And His Good Lady), The Difficulties of Fatherhood and *defenately* Epiphany which is so well written and I think is her best oneshot of all.
dfriendly was brought to my attention by a friend and I just love her writing style. It's easy to read and always fun right from her au fics to her canon fics. The one I have to point out is The Swordman because it is such a clever idea that Arthur by night is like a superhero. It was just so clever. Two other fics I have to mention are Armour is No Obstacle and Once is Not Enough which are interesting because they're sort of like an au of the show yet I think they're believable.
