After being forced to relive the fall of Baron, Cecil spoke barely a word. Events both past and future weighed heavily on him, events that had haunted him ever since his arrival on Gaia, and now had been dragged out to the fore. Still, despite Terra's questions, he wasn't sure he could discuss it. Not now.

The three were attempting to find an exit, but so far, they'd found nothing. Not even that pink haze was present, which made him wonder if there was a way back, or if they were trapped.

Suddenly, as they made their way through the place, again the scenery changed without warning. And again, Cecil found himself in Baron Castle. This time they were on the threshhold of the throne room, decorated in the deep reds and severe golds that were Baron's colours. Two thrones stood at the end of the hall on a raised dais. Yet around the room, the usual suits of armour and swords that decorated the castle had been replaced. Instead, there were huge vases of delicate white and pink lilies.

Those flowers... He'd never forget them. Rosa had chosen them herself from the castle gardens, for their wedding day. That same day he was crowned King of Baron, and chose Rosa as his Queen.

Standing by the thrones was Cid, younger than the previous memory, his long white beard now short and brown. As Cecil strode forwards, drawn into the memory, he, too, became seventeen years younger. Rosa was at his side, resplendent in a flowing wedding dress and white flowers in her hair. The betrothed exchanged radiant smiles, and stepped up to the dais. As soon as they were seated, the ceremonies would begin.
