Vincent followed Rishfee silently, as usual absorbed deeply by his own thoughts. His thoughts were on his own memory, as well as on what he had seen of both Rishfee's and Cid's. It was a better train of thought than wondering what awaited them while they traveled toward the exit.

The change in surroundings was slightly more gradual than the others had been, but not slow enough to be unnoticeable. Vincent glanced up as he noticed it happening, doing his best to figure out if he could recognize the place or not. It wasn't immediately familiar, which eased some of his tension, but did little to relieve it completely.

Instead, he turned his attention to watching Raines and Rishfee both.

When there was a sudden change to Rishfee, he turned to watch him more carefully. He could see the girl that had appeared- a different one than had appeared in the first memory. This one was a much more lighthearted moment than the last one had been, a moment of joking between two siblings.

Unlike he had in the first memory, Vincent didn't turn away at all during this one. Instead, he watched carefully. This was a side of Rishfee he was completely unfamiliar with. The both of them were drawn together because of circumstances that did not encourage more lighthearted emotions, and Vincent seldom acted carefree in the first place. Watching, though, he found it far more suited to Rishfee than he might have expected. It was pleasant, to see him acting like the young man he was, instead of a soldier or a monster. Even more, it was good to see that Rishfee still had the potential to be a normal person within him.

At the moment, it simply seemed as if Rishfee was going mad, reacting to things that were clearly not there. It was continuing, he figured, the oddness that had already started.

"Do you see more than I do?" he murmured to Vincent, wondering exactly what was going on in the other man's mind.

This isn't going to last.

The thought struck him as he ducked the flying food item, and upon opening one eye, hands still atop his head, and still in a sitting position, an absolutely enraged Amnaf wasn't what he saw. Instead, it was one of Vincent's greaves. Exhaling, he closed his eyes and felt the lighthearted feeling leave him just as quickly as it came, something akin to disappointment forming in it's place.

Stupid of you to think it would. He thought to himself, getting to his feet, and looking to the ground. No words came. No explaination, no embarrassment. Just a feeling; a wish to be near her again. Worry for her, too. What was happening in his absence? What was happening to her, specifically?

"I can see all of it." Vincent responded, glancing over toward Raines briefly before returning his attention to watching the memory. "It's a memory." He couldn't really say much more about it other than that. He didn't know entirely what it was, after all, but it was also up to Rishfee whether he wanted to explain the memory further.

It was easy to see when the memory ended, simply by the change in Rishfee's expression and demeanor. "We should keep moving." he suggested, instead of commenting on it. However lighthearted the memory had been, the effect it had on Rishfee was not a good one, if his silence and downcast eyes were any indication.

"We should." Whether he saw it or not, he didn't care. For now, he kept on walking.

Until he found himself in his office aboard the Lindblum. It was a place he hadn't seen in near to a year, a place he had always considered home for so long. Taking a few steps, a hand moved to gingerly touch his desk, as if checking it was real.

Upon heading footsteps outside the hallway, he quickly took a seat, glancing downwards. It seemed as if he had quite the bit of paperwork to do. Or was it tomorrow's paperwork that he was getting done now?

"Open up in there, we had a deal!" came the familiar accented voice outside of the door. "I better not see ya still in your uniform."

"The door is already open, Rygdea," he said with a roll of his eyes. The younger man soon strode into the room, a hand on his hip as he regarded the Brigadier General. Rygdea was dressed in casual clothing, a far cry from his usual uniform.

"Shoulda known. We had a deal. I let you finish your work, you head out with me on shore leave and remember that you're not a machine. It's Nautalis, Cid, come the hell on. Go get changed and move it!"

He tried to ignore him. He really did. But when Rygdea walked over, grabbed him by the arm, and literally tugged him away from his desk, Cid couldn't help but smile. As much as he hated going out in public outside of his work, maybe it wouldn't be...so bad?

"One say, I swear, you will be the death of me. Still..."

He received a grinb ack.

"Yes, of course..."

Even Rishfee's voice was distant, about as distant as it would have been fif he were still in the memory. But he tried to snap himself together. He really did-- shaking his head lightly and forcing it up. Amnaf would have told him off for hanging it like some stinking mercenary, anyway. So he exhaled, turning to Raines.

"It appears to be his turn." he commented, as it seemed the man was speaking to himself-- and he turned to Vincent.

"...Does it feel wrong to see these things? Or is that a foolish sentiment? For what purpose are we even witnessing all this?"

He nodded slightly at Rishfee's attempts to bring his thoughts back to the present, and away from the memory. "It's private. We're being forced to see pieces of each others' pasts. Why wouldn't it be?" Vincent commented, glancing over at Raines as he spoke. He could see little of this memory, merely flashes of Raines' friend who reminded him of Cid Highwind.

"As for why... another part of this world. Or there may be a person who is responsible for this. Until we can find a way out, it's difficult to tell." He crossed his arms, awaiting some sign from Raines that the memory was finished.
