Terra let Bartz take the lead, for all that she had visited the place before. His questions took priority, and she didn't want to get in the way of him receiving advice as soon as possible. Also, Matoya intimidated her.

She followed, letting her eyes take a moment to adjust to the light within the cave. Those animated, sweeping brooms made her smile, but she was quick to focus on the seer. Hanging back, she nonetheless gave an encouraging nod to Bartz. It was time to get some answers.

"I haven't left this cave in centuries, Bartz of Lix. Why shouldn't I be? Now come in and bring that Esper girl with you." Already with the stupid questions. Matoya found the inane ones irritating. She much preferred when people came, asked what questions they had, then left.

What they would find is that the cave hadn't changed since Terra's last visit. In fact, it hadn't changed since Matoya took up residence so long ago. A bed, bookshelves, animated brooms. And the seer. Seated at a table, bent with age, hovering over her crystal eye.

Bartz shrugged, heading in. He dodged the animated brooms, which seemed to be trying to trip him, and stood before the seer, smiling.

"You're not a turtle after all, huh?"

"A...turtle?" Terra stared at Bartz, wondering where that came from. Nonetheless, she tried to focus them before Matoya became too irritated with them to help.

"Matoya...is there any way for Bartz to regain the abilities he's lost? What can we do?" Might as well be simple and direct, since that was her preferred approach.
