Summary: Three of the women of Avalanche journey into Qu’s Marsh to either try and help Vincent gain control over Chaos, or kill him.
Location: Qu’s Marsh
Date: August 1804, shortly after this and this.
Warnings: Violence/death.
The most obvious thing to see about Qu’s Marsh upon entering it was that some entity had been wreaking havoc there. Several of the rune-covered stones were shattered, and trees were knocked over and destroyed. There was even a body lying in the middle of the destruction, one that was perhaps familiar because of the brightly colored clothing and painted face.
Chaos itself was not present there. Instead, the demon was soaring above the marsh, searching for movement in the swamp below it. Movement meant people, or monsters. Movement meant an opponent, and something to kill. Chaos had been wounded, even weakened by his battle with Kefka, but the demon's purpose would not be so easily forgotten. Chaos existed to kill, and nothing so simple as a wound would stop it from doing that, now that he had undisputed freedom from the host, Lindblum's Rooks, and any others who would try to stop it.
