A hunt was exactly what Kain needed. Something to take his mind off recent troubles. But more importantly, it would give him a target that he could direct his hostility at. A restless feeling had settled in him lately, and no matter what he did he couldn't shake it. It irritated him a little to be around people he knew- Rydia especially, since she never knew when to shut up... But he would deal with it as best he could.
He and his companions had met up on the island where the creature was said to be. They'd started off soon after that, and were now following a trail that seemed promising. Kain was being unusually quiet, even for him, as he focused on trying to spot any signs of their prey.
