And When Your Faith is Gone

May 17, 2010 03:20

Characters: Zack and Cloud
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: Zack needs to slap some sense into Cloud
Location: Luca
Date: Late May, 1804
Warnings: Angstu~

Seated on the edge of one of the empty docks, Cloud's boots and sword were on the ground, the weapon in its sheath, and Cloud's pants rolled up to his knees as he wiggled his feet in the ocean. He was tired of being confined. It wasn't anything particular, but he just wanted his bike fixed so he could ride it away and just forget everything for a while. He felt like he was being suffocated, and his lack of a chance to escape was starting to make him angrier than usual, leaving him constantly escaping his family to save them any emotional hurt from him being mean to them.

Kicking his feet in the water, he shifted the sunglasses he had on, the ones Terra had bought that were tinted the same colour as his eyes. It was sunny, and the sea breeze was gentle, but he couldn't muster a smile. Zack was alive, and he had a chance to live again as well, but he just wanted to forgive himself for the things that had happened. Yet he couldn't.

He'd forgiven himself for Aerith and Zack dying the first time, or so he thought, but seeing Zack die again, letting himself get killed, his behaviour when he spoke to Sephiroth... all of it just made him feel like he was back to square one.

zack fair, cloud strife
