Jen's Quarters, SPD HQ, Newtech City, THE FUTURE
It had taken Jen most of the morning to talk Boom out of thinking that the SWAT Megazord needed giant pie-flinging capabilities, but after that the testing had gone pretty smoothly. If exhaustingly; all she wanted to do was take her boots off and read for a little while. She was halfway through undoing one boot when her Chronomorpher beeped with an incoming call. Captain Logan, of course. Naturally.
"Jen here," she said once she'd patched the call through to her video monitor.
"Sergeant Scotts," Captain Logan replied. So it was business, then. "We have an assignment for you."
Jen nodded and worked her foot back into her boot. "When to this time?"
"2002. Turtle Cove."
"Colorado?" Jen asked, raising an eyebrow. "Turtle Cove in 2002 -- that's when the Wild Force Rangers are there."
Captain Logan chuckled. "Keeping up on your Ranger history as always, I see."
Jen smiled, self-effacingly. "Old habits."
"Mmm. Hopefully your recon habits haven't gotten rusty," Captain Logan told her. "You might be on this assignment for a while."
"Tracking someone?"
"New Orgs. Previously not on the record." Well, that didn't sound good. "We're not sure if Princess Shayla and the Wild Force Rangers are aware of their existence."
"On it, sir," Jen promised, and at a brief nod from Captain Logan, the call blipped out. So much for a quiet night in; Jen headed for her closet to get changed. That new black leather outfit Time Force had sent her for Christmas a while back was finally going to get some use -- this could be fun.
