Aww! These are so bittersweet, and almost haunting. Sweet, though. Thank you :)

Really? Well, that's a bit of an oversimplification. I'm actually in Beaverton (like the character on Veronica Mars). But you say Beaverton to most people and they have no idea what you're talking about. Portland, on the other hand, is more well-known.

Either way, that's really cool! Hello fellow Portlander and Who-fan! :D

okay that's even freakier. I'm in Beaverton but as it's not far via max (I'm only a mile away from BTC) to PDX one is as easy as the other.

This is a fabulous premise! I'd love to see Perth, Australia in there :) You know, just for a change from Sydney or Melbourne or even The Gold Coast, which are the usual suspects as far as Australian cities go. Also, Perth is the most isolated capital city in the world - interesting factoid that might be useful for th story :)

I was thinking about Australia for the next segment, and the suggestion of Perth is a welcome one. Thank you!

Oh, this is painful for them, but so believable, too - he must be going bonkers with not being able to move around, and I can see Rose (who does make friends easily) finding it hard to cope with the longer stays before moving on. Easy to leave when you're never somewhere more than a few hours, but six months does mean you're starting to put down roots. They're so different, and most of the time they find ways to communicate in order to bridge those differences, but it so makes sense that there'll be other times when they simply can't. And he hates explaining himself :(

This made me catch my breath:
Then she asks softly, because she’s curious and has never had occasion to ask before, “What was its name? Your planet ( ... )

It's kind of trying to get them right, because most of the time all I really want to do is throw a satsuma or two at them in order to, um, encourage them to get their stuff together already. So it's nice to hear I'm getting it right. Keeps me from going off to write the sort of mindless fluff that I probably could.

I was so afraid that moment was going to be cheesy! Heh. I'm really glad that it worked out as it should've.

Thank you so much for your commenting. It's a big encouragement and motivation for me. :D
