Adventures in Remodeling

Well, it is day two of our bathroom remodel, and things are going well enough.  We will have a functioning toilet shortly, which is a good thing.  It's going to be spongebaths tomorrow, as a functioning toilet is our priority.  It all started with the toilet;  it had gotten wobbly since we bought the place, and we had the wax ring replaced only to discover that the wood beneath was so water damaged that the toilet could not be bolted back into position. Between that and the sunken spot by the tub, it was apparant that we had an issue.  And so, when time and finances permitted, we had the whole floor checked.  The floor under the tub and toilet, as expected, were damaged.  Surprisingly, the floor under the sink is sound, but the rest had to go.  So now our old green tub is sitting on the front porch and our new floor is in place.  The drywall around the tub has been replaced, and our new flooring has been nailed down.  Now we just need to get our new tub and surround in place, caulk the floor and put the rest of the vinyl down.
