Today we went up to Estes Park, Colorado, a gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Of course we had to stop by for a visit to the Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for Stephen King's The Shining. This hotel wasn't used in the classic Kubrick film, but did serve as the set for the 1997 ABC television miniseries.
