Video from the Green Revolution in Iran
In Thran there are people on their rooftops shouting 'god is great' in protest of what appears with more and more concrete certainty to be a rigged election. People are leaving their doors unlocked to protesters can flee inside to escape the riot cops. The people are protecting the media that is recording the protests. People are dying.
I don't know if it was a coup, but it looks like one. I don't know what the people will do, if they will succeed or if they will be suppressed. The legitimacy of the Iranian government has certainly suffered a crippling blow.
I love watching the revolution. It makes me take stock of myself. Would I riot or run? Would I take pictures and risk beatings? Would I wait too long?
