It's the birthday of the Women in Military Service to American (WIMSA) memorial is at the main gate of Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Atop the Hemicycle are glass panels containing quotes from famous American women soldiers. In one of the tunnels beneath the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio. The architect and sculptor Levi Scofield designed the memorial. The tunnels are only slightly below-ground, and allow inspection of the key pedestals and foundation elements of the monument.
